Bound Book Scanning is one of few book scanning companies that utilize the state-of-the-art Kirtas APT 2400 robotic book scanner. Premiere imaging equipment and innovative technology allow us to capture documents at industry-leading high resolutions and color depths. We use both robotic and manual scanning modes to accommodate a variety of book sizes and conditions to ensure a productive and efficient scanning process. Our professional and experienced staff are highly trained to gently handle even delicate and rare books. All scanning work is done on-site, we keep costs low but do not outsource our projects.
After the high-resolution digital images are captured, we perform Optical Character Recognition, (OCR) of up to 99.8% accuracy with multilingual capacity of over 200 languages.We employ rigorous Quality Control procedures to ensure your final output is perfect, with no blurred, missing, or double page scans.
Our high quality digitized output for libraries can be used for internet access, archiving, and print-on-demand. The final results can be output to DOC, PDF, TIFF, JPEG and JPEG2000. We can also format your ebooks as .mobi for Kindle publishing; or .epub for B&N Nook and other e-book devices.
